From Plus Two to a Career in Algo Trading: A Kochi Student’s Journey with Python and AI
Starting a career in algo trading can feel challenging, especially when you are new to both programming and the stock market. But with the right guidance, practical training, and consistent effort, even a beginner can take meaningful steps toward a career in algorithmic trading.
Recently, we had the opportunity to work with a student from Kochi who joined our algo trading training program with a strong interest in building a career in algo trading with Python and AI.
What made his journey particularly inspiring was where he started.

The student had recently completed Plus Two and had only limited exposure to IT, the stock market, and algorithmic trading.
Naturally, he had doubts.
Could someone with very little programming knowledge really learn Python? Could he understand the concepts behind algorithmic trading? Could he eventually build trading strategies on his own?
Instead of expecting him to understand everything immediately, we started with the fundamentals.
During the first module, we introduced him to the basics of Python programming and algorithmic trading through simple explanations and practical tasks. The focus was on helping him understand the concepts step by step rather than overwhelming him with advanced technical terminology.
As he progressed through the initial exercises, his confidence started to grow.

The next stage of his training focused more heavily on practical implementation.
